Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country musician and singer whose tales of heartbreak in the early years achieved wide recognition in the beginning of the 21st century. Swift had a passion for music at an early time. She swiftly rose through in the ranks, beginning as a child actor before performing before a large crowd. The moment Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of a Philadelphia 76ers game at age 11, she was already writing songs. After that, she took up guitar. Swift, who took her inspirations from Shania Twain's music and The Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks within the realm of country music, composed her original songs to reflect her experience with alienation. Swift's family relocated to Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was thirteen so she would have more time exploring popular country music labels in Nashville.
